About Me

Mosimiloluwa
Koye-Ladele

Born in Ibadan, Oyo State, to the family of Late Reverend and Pastor (Mrs.) Koye-Ladele, Mosimiloluwa grew up as the only daughter among sons. Her passion for service was awakened at an early age when she came face to face with the struggles of people in underserved communities. She could not look away. Rather than stand as a distant observer, she chose to act, volunteering with non-profit organizations where she threw herself into women empowerment projects, mentoring secondary school students, guiding them through career decisions, raising awareness on HIV/AIDS prevention, and most importantly, awakening them to their limitless potential. Each encounter deepened her conviction that true leadership is about service.

She however realised something profound very early: while non-profits do important work touching lives, government holds the greatest power to transform them at scale. This conviction led her, as a teenager, into civic and public service initiatives.  In 2008, she served as Coordinator and Lead Programme Manager with Project New Nigeria (PNN), designing civic education programs that drew thousands and exposed the disconnect between citizens and elected officials. This same year, she joined the Association for Good Government and Governance and later became its President. She championed citizen participation in governance, equipping people to engage with government, hold their representatives accountable, and recognize the immense power vested in “the office of the citizen” of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Her quest to shape effective governance led her to the School of Policy, Politics and Governance (SPPG), an institution reshaping Africa’s political leadership by raising a new generation of values-driven, disruptive thinkers equipped to lead with integrity. Her pursuit of excellence has since taken her beyond Nigeria. She is currently enrolled in an Executive Master’s in Public Policy and Administration at the London School of Economics and Political Science and is earning a Public Leadership Credential at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

At the heart of Mosimiloluwa’s journey is a consistent thread: the belief that citizens are not powerless, that government can be accountable, and that a nation can rise when its people realize their shared responsibility in building it. Her story is one of courage, conviction, and an unrelenting desire to hand over to the next generation a Nigeria, and indeed an Africa that truly works.
